Our Values

The Mitchell and Thelma Cope Foundation is devoted to land preservation, helping renters and homeowners with affordable housing, and other charitable matters.

Charitable Stewardship

We engage in various activities to help those in need, with their education, safety, and to have a better life.

Affordable Housing

We work for the creation and preservation of affordable housing, so lower income people can have safe housing, in good repair, at a price they can afford.

Land Preservation

We preserve land for recreation, and so future generations can have natural places to enjoy.

Current Projects

We are working with landowners in Brunswick, Wilton, Portland, and other Maine towns to preserve land and obtain land to help with affordable housing.

We are working with a school and group of teachers to subsidize an art program, with modeling clay, to help disabled and low income children have access to the enjoyment of art and self fulfillment.
